Amy Leach is a wonderful writer. Finding her work is a serendipity for me because her writing is helping me see the world more clearly and touch it more sympathetically. Thank you, Amy!
I was just today gifted by the Universe or God or Krishna or Somebody with Amy Leach’s essay “You Be The Moon” in the 2009 edition of Best American Essays. As I read, little, caught-breath exclamations punctuated each paragraph: “Oh!” “Oh! How did she do that?!” I Googled her immediately, and the exact same thing happened upon reading “Warbler Delight” in Identity Theory. So lovely it made me giggle, and I’m just not the giggling kind. A much-deserved award for a singular voice. Congratulations, Amy.
