Punk Band is more than a band. We prefer the term Anarcho-syncretic-performance-collective. It is our goal to entertain the masses utilizing the cultural trope known as “rock” while integrating methods and processes developed by the Surrealists and Situationists. We also find the writings of Artaud valuable for developing a rapport with both audience and media. We have recently become a development of a unique process of“music” we call psycho-musicology. Our psycho-musicology bridges the gap between performer and viewer that Artaud best described as “a gulf of agony.” And all this in songs of two minutes or less. Who woulda thunk?
