MAKE: A Chicago Literary Magazine – The International Issue Release Party at the Hideout with Michael Zerang, Hamid Drake, Allá, and DJ Tony Sarabia

WHAT
MAKE: A Chicago Literary Magazine celebrates the release of Issue#4, The International Issue with readings from contributors, an outstanding music bill, and paintings projected across the walls.
The evening begins with Fred Sasaki, Ingrid Rojas, W. Martin, and Kinga Maciejewska reading and discussing writing from issue #4. Musical performances from world renowned percussionists Michael Zerang and Hamid Drake, Spanish language, psychedelic pop band, Allá, and a DJ set from Tony Sarabia, host of the Chicago Public Radio show, “Radio-M” will follow. Throughout the evening, Miguel Cortez, co-proprietor of Polvo Gallery, will present a slide show with images from the issue and the gallery.

Issue #4 proudly prints international writers and translators, as well as
many Chicago-based writers. Interviews with internationally acclaimed
authors Aleksandar Hemon and Eduardo Galeano provide the features. Issue
#4 also includes work from Fred Sasaki, Ingrid Rojas, Reginald Gibbons,
Ilya Kutik, Mahmoud Saeed, Leda Shiavo, and Primoz Cucnik, among others.
